Eyes and is a common name for Cherokee girls. This watercolor painting is all about the
wonder and amazement of childhood. Ahniwake sits among the dandelions with her wolf cub
companion as the butterflies soar endlessly about the baby. It is easy to see how a young
child might think of them as flying flowers.
