Cherokee By Blood
This painting on an eagle feather, deals with the Cherokee tragedy now called the Trail of Tears. During the winter of 1838 and 1839 sixteen thousand Cherokees were forced on to what would become known as the Trail of Tears, overland to Indian Territory. On the Trail of Tears over 4,000 Cherokees died. We still remember.
